The HMH sensor uses human hair as a sensor. The hair stretches as the humidity increases and contracts as the humidity decreases. The electronic system transmits these changes to a micro switch (or optionally to two switches). In the case of HPH, the system transmits the changes to the potentiometer slider. The setpoint switch affects the position of the micro switch with respect to the hair element. A value from 10 to 100% RH is available.
The tried and tested design with only a few moving parts offers, above all, a high degree of reliability and accuracy.
Models are available that consist of two micro switches. The difference between them can be set with the adjusting screw.
