Water quality measurement – which probe to choose?

To effectively monitor and collect data on water quality in various environments, such as rivers, lakes, groundwater, water supply systems or aquaculture, you must choose the appropriate measuring device. Here are the steps to help you choose the right water quality probe.

Define the purpose of the measurement

Consider what exactly you would like to measure in the water. Are they physical, chemical or biological parameters? What water quality parameters do you want to monitor? Is it only, for example, oxygen dissolved in water or many different parameters. Depending on this, you can choose a single-parameter or multi-parameter probe. Among multi-parameter probes, you will find those with non-replaceable sensors that allow you to measure water quality in a range of specific factors. You can also opt for multi-parameter probes with multiple, interchangeable sensors, which will allow you to obtain detailed data on many different water quality parameters at the same time.

Aqua TROLL probes for measuring water quality

Our offer includes single-parameter and multi-parameter water probes from the American manufacturer In-Situ.
The Aqua TROLL family of probes will allow you to choose the perfect solution for measuring water quality in many different applications. If you need to measure and record temperature and conductivity, choose the Aqua TROLL100 probe, if you would also like to measure pressure (level) - choose the Aqua TROLL 200 probe. Aqua TROLL 400 is a multi-parameter water quality probe with non-replaceable sensors that allow you to measure pressure (level), temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH/ORP.
If you want a wide range of water quality measurements, consider the Aqua TROLL 500 and 600 probes, choosing from 15 different sensors. Among the replaceable sensors you will find those for measuring, among others: temperature, conductivity, pH/ORP, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, ammonia, chlorides, nitrates, oil in water, phycocyanin, phycoerythrin, chlorophyll A.
The Aqua TROLL 500 multi-parameter probe requires external power supply. Aqua TROLL 600 is an autonomous device with a built-in set of replaceable D-type batteries that enable measuring water quality and recording water parameters for up to over 9 months without the need to replace them. Both probes have 4 sensor slots.
Do you need to measure more water parameters at once? Choose the Aqua TROLL 700 or Aqua TROLL 800 probe, which have 6 sensor slots for even more accurate water quality measurement. The Aqua TROLL 700 probe requires external power, and the Aqua TROLL 800 is battery-powered.

Calibration and maintenance of water quality probe – convenient use and savings

The probes from the Aqua TROLL family of the American manufacturer In-Situ are characterized by high durability and ease of maintenance. Aqua TROLL 500, 600, 700 and 800 probes have an additional slot for an antifouling wiper. The wiper works automatically, which prevents the sensors from getting clogged. This guarantees accurate water quality measurements for a long time, saves time and increases the comfort of using the device.
The built-in calibration container and intuitive application will allow you to quickly and easily guide you through the probe calibration process. For this purpose, you can purchase a number of necessary calibration solutions from us or use reagents generally available on the market. The application available on your smartphone in Polish will guide you step by step through the probe calibration process, and after the process is completed, it will generate a report that you can quickly send by e-mail.

Convenience in measuring water quality is provided by an automatic cleaning system

In-Situ solutions allow for remote monitoring or local measurement of water quality.
Choose a probe with a VuLink communication module for remote measurements. The VuLink telemetry system allows you to send the results of water quality measurements made by the probe to the manufacturer's server along with data visualization or to the user's FTP server.
You can also choose Wireless TROLL Com for local measurements. Wireless TROLL Com ensures communication between the probe and a mobile device using Bluetooth technology (tablet or smartphone). The free VuSitu application in Polish will allow you to view and record the tested water quality parameters.

Electromagnetic flowmeter - types and applications

An electromagnetic flowmeter is a device used to measure the flow of electrically conducting liquids. Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in the water supply and sewage industry to measure water and wastewater flow. They are also used in measuring the flow of technological water (e.g. in mines) or in the food industry (e.g. juice production, dairies). The device works on the principle of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and uses the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction.
