The 9th Poltraf Conference is behind us!

From September 30 to October 2, 2026, the Poltraf conference - focused on modern measurement technologies for the industrial and water & wastewater sectors - took place. This was the 9th edition of our conference, which drew a record-breaking number of over 100 guests to Mikołajki.

The 9th edition of the Poltraf conference took place from September 30 to October 2, 2026. This year’s event focused on modern measurement technologies for the industrial and water & wastewater sectors, with a particular emphasis on the practical application of specific devices, as well as their proper installation and use. Held in the picturesque town of Mikołajki, the conference attracted a record-breaking attendance of over 100 guests.

Poltraf Conference

The first day of the conference was dedicated to presentations by Poltraf and our partners—manufacturers of measuring equipment.

We began with a brief welcome from Jerzy Jackiewicz (President of Poltraf) and Piotr Szerszeń (Managing Director of Poltraf), followed by an overview of the measuring instruments we offer for pressure, level, flow, water quality parameters, and gas detection. This segment was led by Maciej Bartnik-Golec (Regional Sales Engineer for the Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships), who highlighted which measuring devices are best suited for industrial applications, as well as for use in water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, metering manholes, post-treatment discharge points, and rivers. Following this, we handed the floor over to the manufacturers of the measuring equipment.

Comac Cal at the Poltraf Conference

Marcel Maceček and Monika Buršíková from the Czech company Comac Cal presented their flow measurement solutions—specifically the Flow55 electromagnetic flowmeter for gravity-fed flows, an IoT module, and a new product: the battery-powered IoT module, CQLink. The presentation sparked an engaging discussion on the challenges of flow measurement and concluded with a contest hosted by Comac Cal.

The next speaker was Lukas Dudkowski from the German company Systec Controls, who presented practical aspects regarding the installation and use of Deltawave ultrasonic flowmeters. Through numerous examples, Lukas demonstrated the critical importance of customer support—not only prior to purchase but also throughout the operational lifespan of non-invasive ultrasonic flowmeters.

In the next segment, we gave the floor to our colleague, Adrian Jackiewicz, who focused his presentation on the RSHU radar flowmeter from Bass Instruments. He covered key aspects such as the correct installation of the device and how to select the optimal location for taking measurements. It was a highly practical presentation, drawing on the numerous tests that we conduct with our clients every time before selling an RSHU flowmeter.

Following a series of presentations on flow measurement, we moved on to the section dedicated to analytics—specifically, devices for measuring various water parameters.

Marian Kobisz (Regional Sales Engineer for the Greater Poland, Lubusz, and West Pomeranian Voivodeships) introduced the latest additions to our product portfolio: solutions from the company Akso. These include, among others, pocket-sized photometers for measuring various water parameters—such as free and total chlorine, color, ammonia, and iron—as well as other portable and stationary testers used to measure pH, conductivity, TDS (total dissolved solids), and a wide range of other parameters.

Finally, we hosted a premiere presentation of the product range from the Italian manufacturer of measuring instruments, Chemitec. Company representatives Paolo Ruggiero and Edoardo Guccini showcased Chemitec’s comprehensive solutions, including both hardware and cloud-based systems for monitoring various water parameters. Post-conference feedback already indicates that this presentation was of great interest to the attendees.

We wrapped up the day with a barbecue dinner, a bonfire, and a bowling tournament for the Poltraf CEO’s Cup.

The second day of the conference was dedicated to exploring some fascinating local spots. We visited the Wolf’s Lair (Wilczy Szaniec) and later enjoyed a boat cruise on Lake Tałty. During the formal gala dinner that evening, we presented awards to the winners of the bowling tournament.

Following this 9th edition of the Poltraf conference, we’ve learned one thing for sure: when it comes to planning the event’s side activities, we no longer bother with a "Plan B"—because whenever we skip having a backup plan, the weather always turns out perfect! It was the final week of summer, and we are delighted that so many of our clients spent it with us.
