The choice of the appropriate device depends on many factors, such as: type of medium, range of flow rates, measurement accuracy and others. It is worth starting by determining what medium the electromagnetic flowmeter should work with and what temperature the given liquid has. Depending on this, the appropriate flowmeter lining should be selected. Hard rubber lining is most often used, however, e.g. in water treatment plants, a lining made of Rilsan is used - a special type of material that prevents the deposition of manganese and iron. For drinking water, a rubber lining with an appropriate certificate will be used. At higher temperatures, choose a Teflon or ceramic lining.
The temperature of the medium with which the electromagnetic flowmeter will work will also affect the selection of the appropriate display. At temperatures above 90 degrees, the display in the electromagnetic flowmeters we offer should be moved away. You should also pay attention to the place where the flow meter is mounted, which will influence the choice of display. With IP68, the display must already be outside the flood zone. The degree of protection of the electronics in the display varies - for a head display it is IP65, 67, and for a whiteboard and wall display it is IP54.
Our offer includes flow meters from the Czech manufacturer Comac Cal, which has been operating on the market since 1987 and specializes in the production of flow measurement devices.
The most popular Comac Cal devices include the Flow38 electromagnetic flowmeter. Due to the large number of available configurations, it can be used in many industries.
As standard, the device can be in size DN6 to DN600. Threaded, flanged, flanged and food-grade (hygienic) versions are available. As for the measurement display, it can be connected directly to the body or distant on a cable, up to 30 meters. When ordering a separate version, you can choose from three mounting options: head-mounted (identical to the compact version), wall-mounted (mounted on a DIN rail or directly on the wall) and panel-mounted (for mounting on the control cabinet door). The display has a clear LCD screen with two rows of characters, 16 on each line. The menu, as standard, is available in two languages (Polish and English). Additionally, the selection from a large number of materials in contact with the medium allows the electromagnetic flowmeter to be properly matched, regardless of the application. Typically, electromagnetic flowmeters are ordered with a rubber, ceramic or PTFE lining, and the material of the measuring electrodes is 316Ti, Hastelloy C4, titanium, tantalum or platinum. You can also select the output signal: pulse, analog 4...20mA or digital M-Bus/Modbus via the RS485 interface.
The tightness standard of the flowmeter is IP65. For a small additional fee, you can order the IP67 or even IP68 version. All these options allow us to meet the needs of almost the entire market, and in the case of non-standard applications, the manufacturer is able to quickly create a solution for a specific order. Regardless of whether it is a larger connection diameter, longer construction, greater degree of protection (enabling, for example, burying the flow meter underground) or very low flow.
It should also be mentioned that Comac Cal devices are available with a PZH certificate for contact with drinking water. You can also order an electromagnetic flowmeter with a MID certificate, so it can work in measuring media for which the customer settles financially.
Our offer also includes the Flow45 electromagnetic flowmeter. Flow 45 is a battery-powered flowmeter that has been designed for use in spaces without mains voltage. It is ideal for installation in main pipelines, drains, as well as in various sewer lines.
The Flow45 flowmeter has excellent accuracy over the full flow rate range. Before each measurement, automatic diagnostics of all functions and parts necessary for correct measurement are performed. The device is able to identify an empty pipeline and invalidate the entire measurement, as well as assess the flow direction and record the appropriate data.
As a standard, the electromagnetic flowmeter can be in sizes from DN10 to DN200 depending on the type of connection. Threaded, flanged, flanged and food-grade (hygienic) versions are available.
Battery life depends on the measurement frequency and is up to 5 years. To determine it, not only the frequency of measurement is important, but also the outputs and communication used. The more energy-intensive the outputs are, the shorter the battery life will be. Therefore, the type of communication, outputs and measurement frequency should be selected with great care. Our assortment also includes spare batteries.
The final choice of an electromagnetic flowmeter depends on your specific needs and operating conditions. By carefully analyzing these factors, you will be able to find the right model that will meet your expectations. It is also worth consulting with us. We will help you precisely tailor the solution to your needs.
