A pressure transmitter with a DPC or DPS display with battery power allows you to record pressure data without the need to power the transmitter from the mains. This solution is particularly useful wherever it is not possible to connect a 15...30 V DC power supply. The proposed battery system is able to operate for over 36 hours, during which the DPC or DPS pressure transmitter will record the pressure in the installation according to the set interval. The data saving interval can be set in the range 0.1...999.9 s. The data logger allows you to save 3518 data points, if this number is exceeded, the oldest data will be overwritten.
If you use the DPC or DPS transducer only as a data recorder using a battery system, we suggest setting sampling intervals depending on the data recording you are interested in. Recording data every 30 seconds or more will allow for a minimum of 29 hours of data collection. The limitation is the number of saved points and the power supply operating time.
To calculate the maximum sample recording frequency in a given period of time, calculate according to the formula:
(number of recording hours x 3600) / 3500
Example: we want to obtain as many measurements as possible over 6 hours. (6 hours x 3600) / 3500 = 6.17: We set the sampling time in the pressure transmitter to 6.2s. Please remember that after 6 hours the data will be gradually overwritten.
